Education & Hospital Nursing Services
Education is integrated with hospital nursing service for the management of patient care. Nursing audits are carried out for ensuring the quality. Faculty has a dual role as Unit Managers / Lecturers.
COLLEGE INFRASTRUCTURE
College of Nursing has well equipped classrooms for the students there are four class rooms available at present for B.Sc.Nursing Programme.

Laboratory facilities:
Fundamental of Nursing
Fundamental lab is well equipped with all essential equipments for basic/advanced Nursing procedures.

Maternal & Child health Laboratory
The Maternal and child health laboratory is equipped with bed cradle, child dummy, instruments, toys & playmaterials for the various age groups of children.
Community Laboratory
The Community Laboratory is well equipped with community bags, charts, flash cards and models etc., for the purpose of Community field visits and mass health education programme.

The Anatomy & Physiology laboratory
It is well equipped with models and specimens. The dissection hall is a masterpiece of planning, giving the students facilities to learn from the cadavers under guidance of medical experts.
Nutrition Laboratory
The Nutrition Laboratory is full fledged with automated microwave oven, gas stove with centralized gas supply and all the necessary cooking and serving vessels.

Biochemistry laboratory
The Biochemistry laboratory offers an opportunity to learn with best of automated instrumentation like auto analysis, blood gas analyzer, and electrolyte analyser.
Computer Laboratory
It is well equipped with recent computer models. Internet facilities with E- learning technique provides means to update the recent advancement for students.

TRANSPORT
Our College of Nursing has adequate transport facilities for the students.

THE REAL & VIRTUAL LIBRARIES
The Nursing college has library with good stock of text books and Indian and International journals on various Nursing Subjects

CLINICAL PRACTICE:
Students having opportunity to have their Clinical Practice at Parent Hospital, Community field & other affiliated Hospitals.
(a) Hospital (Parental / Affiliated)
The Pondicherry Institute of Medical Sciences hospital is a leading state-of-the-art Multi Speciality Hospital with 560 beds.

(b) AFFILIATED HOSPITAL
Students are also given permission to practice clinical skill in Indira Gandhi Government General Hospital & PG Institute, Puducherry, G.H, Maternity Hospital, Clunny Hospital, Anbu Illam.
(c) Community - Health Nursing - Clinical Practice
College of Nursing students are given opportunity to participate in Immunization programmes, School health programmes, MCH programmes, Home visit, Street play, puppet show, role play, projects, health talk, mass health programmes, Nutritional assessment and cooking demonstration are carried out in both rural and urban health centres.
URBAN HEALTH CENTRE (Muthialpet)
Urban health centre is situated 15 kms away from College of Nursing – Pondicherry Institute of Medical Sciences. The services that are provided at this centre have been a great help for the people in the community

RURAL HEALTH CENTER (Anaichakuppam)
Rural health centre is situated 5 km away from College of Nursing – Pondicherry Institute of Medical Sciences.

World Diabetes day was celebrated on 15.11.10 at Anaichakuppam. Students participated in role play, poster presentation, exhibition and conducted rally and screening for diabetes .

Co-curricular activites
Students are involved in NSS, Red Cross & SNA activites.

RECREATION
The students are given opportunity to play throw ball, basket ball, tenni coit as outdoor games. Indoor games like chess, caroms, checkers are also available. Students have opportunities to exhibit their talents during the National festivals and college functions.

Students are given dining hall in the ground floor of the hostel block. The mess timings are as follows:
