On 31st October 2005, Under the leadership of Dr Abraham G. Thomas, a team of Plastic, Micro vascular surgeons and Orthopaedic Surgeons, did an amputated (Above Elbow) Right arm replantation

The patient, 49 year old male of foreign origin, had a Road Traffic Accident and severed his Right Arm. The limb was stabilized by Dr. P. Kumaresan, Asst. Prof., Orthopaedics and Revascularization and other procedures were done by Prof. Dr. Abraham G. Thomas and Assoc. Prof., Dr Sharad Ramdas and Dr. Elvino Baretto.
