Prof. R.David Sadhu has joined department of General
Surgery at PIMS as Professor Incharge of department
of General Surgery. He is an Undergraduate and
Postgraduate student of Christian Medical College
(CMC), Vellore. He had his overseas higher specialty
training in Peripheral Vascular Surgery in Flinders
Medical Centre, Adelaide, South Australia from
1991to 92, He established the vascular unit at CMC,
Vellore. He had presented many papers both in
national and international vascular conferences. He
has spent two months in UK and in vascular unit in
Hull under Dr.Peter Mccollum. In 2004 he attended
European Vascular Society conference at Innsbruck,
Vienna and shared the experience of T.A.O. (Buergers
Diseases). He has many publications to his credit
both in national and international journals. Latest
being in world journal of surgery entitled "Thorasic
outlet syndrome" He has done extrensive work on
vascular injuries associated with fractures of the
extremities. He helped spine surgeons at Vellore in
exploring and safeguarding AORTA, and IVC from
operations on lower Lumbar vertebral bodies. He has
chaired many scientific sessions at the conferences
and he is the most wanted teacher in General Surgery
CME's.
He is one of the founder members of the
vascular society of India and served on its
executive Committee. He was the chairperson of the
doctors section of the CMAI form four years and
president of Gideons international in India, Vellore
Camp. He is also an international aluminus of
Haggai. He has trained many specialists who are
doing excellent work in hospitals in India as well
as in abroad. He was the guide to many PG dessertations and examiner for both undergraduate,
postgraduate exams and MCH in Vascular Surgery.
Prof.R.David Sadhu has many years of experience
in treating patients with the following diseases.

4. Cancers of Stomach, large intestines.
